Ever since 2011, Broadbridge Heath has been promised a new primary school, to cope with an ever-increasing number of families and new housing.
Wickhurst Green developer Countryside Homes was required to set aside land in an ideal location. Now, out of the blue it’s been cancelled.
10 years of repeated promises count for nothing!
Worse still, if WSCC/HDC don’t take on the land in the next few weeks, it will have to be handed back to Countryside Homes – free of charge.
What a waste!
This is an unacceptable loss both to the families of Broadbridge Heath and to taxpayers.
Please sign our petition which will be presented to WSCC and HDC:
‘We call upon WSCC and HDC to work together to take control of land at Wickhurst Green promised for a primary school. It must be kept safe for local residents until a new school or other community use can be agreed on.’
