James Brookes

Moving to Broadbridge Heath as a boy over 30 years ago, James attended Shelley Primary School, before a teaching career at independent schools and universities

“This corner of Sussex has always been home, and I returned a few years ago to help care for my mother through her terminal illness. During the pandemic I worked in the local Tesco pharmacy, where I was proud to help serve our local community. As a councillor, I want to continue working to serve this community and the place that my mum loved so much, to safeguard it for future generations.”

Jonathan Taylor

An advertising & marketing professional, and a University Professor for 23 years, Jonathan is also a passionate supporter of local cricket teams scoring matches

“I moved to just outside Broadbridge Heath village with my family in 2017 to be nearer to family support while my wife was battling terminal cancer. Since then I’ve become very familiar with local concerns, such as Nowhurst Business Park and road traffic. As I’ve watched our communities grow, I recognise the importance of ensuring new developments guarantee the required supporting infrastructure.”
