Cllr Martin Boffey
Leader of the LibDems on HDC, Martin fights for a well-run Council that cares about its communities and protects the environment and green spaces
“I got into politics to protect and serve my neighbourhood of Trafalgar and our wonderful town of Horsham. That’s still vital to me, but I’ve realised that to truly deliver for people in Horsham and throughout the district, we need to change the Council for the better. With hard work and the support of our residents that’s exactly what we’ll do.”

“My family moved to Trafalgar 25 years ago, and I worked locally in Horsham. Our children went to the excellent local schools and are now out in the world. Education is high on my agenda, as is fixing Tory planning chaos to ensure as Horsham develops further, it does so in a sustainable, environmentally and socially responsible manner. I’m a keen cyclist, so I want safer routes to both cycle and walk. Active travel is better for people’s health and the environment – but people will only do it if they feel safe.”
