“I began my career teaching English before becoming Director of Education & Skills in West Berkshire and later West Sussex County Council (WSCC). Until last year, I chaired a charitable multi-academy trust of 15 special schools and remain a local primary school governor. As a former parish councillor, I was proud to be elected your WSCC Councillor in 2021, and now serve as Lib Dem Opposition Leader. Over the past five years, I have championed vulnerable children, including those with SEND and mental health needs, supported youth services, and pushed for better road maintenance.”

“I moved to Horsham with my family 48 years ago when I became a local GP. Our children attended local schools, and we became active in community clubs and societies. Changes in the NHS led me to campaign for a new hospital and improved services at Horsham Hospital, which inspired me to stand for Horsham District Council nearly 20 years ago, and I still represent you today. Since then I have served on many committees, in Cabinet, and as Council Chairman. I have recently overseen the refurbishment of the Capitol Theatre and helped protect Horsham Park.”
