Harwood Road runs through and around the heart of our area and is a key walking route for families heading to school and to Owlbeech and Leechpool Woods.

Speeding cars and numerous accidents have raised serious concerns about noise and pedestrian safety. Liberal Democrats made sure a new traffic island was built but more needs to be done to reduce vehicle speeds.

Cllrs Sam Raby and Jay Mercer say, “We fully support residents’ call to reduce speeds and improve crossings. This is a community priority—people should feel safe walking where they live.”
