Last week, I spoke in Parliament about the cancellation of the local elections in West Sussex as well as issues related to kinship carers, universal credit and more. I also had a meeting on the state of local SEN provision and visited Age UK in Horsham.
Today, West Sussex County Council elections were cancelled at the request of the Conservative Leadership. The Secretary of State for Local Government announced the postponement in The Commons.
Last week, I had the opportunity to deliver my first Prime Minister’s Question. I also had the honour of meeting King Charles III on Wednesday for a reception for new MPs at Buckingham Palace.
It has been another full-on week in parliament with the second reading of the Climate and Nature Bill, a Westminster Hall Debate on ECHPs, NFU protests and a Work and Pensions Committee meeting on WASPI women.
